Default Texas biodiversity

There is a lot to learn about the biodiversity of each state. There is a state biodiversity ranking chart at the bottom of the page and it would be interesting to see how each state (other than top 5) ranks. Information about things like climate, land and urbanization tell much more about the biodiversity than the efforts at conservation of each state.
Texas is such a large state with every imaginable land type. Gulf coast, mountain, forest, desert. It is amazing. Only california rivals.

Many links to follow on each page and wile away my time...lol.

244 bird species counted at Texas Mad Island preserve. Awesome what some people will do to spot a bird. I would love to have that scope...
