We are an empirically-driven, interdisciplinary grassroots effort. Through research, educational programs, outreach, and strong regional partnerships, we are increasing public awareness of poorly-known mountain wilderness, identifying conservation priorities, monitoring sensitive mountain ecosystems, and informing land management and acquisition.

QUÉBEC MOUNTAIN WOLVERINE PROJECT
we have initiated a multi-year project to determine whether wolverines are present in the mountains of the central Canadian Shield, a 3000 sq-km plateau of old-growth spruce and tundra. Wolverines have not been confirmed east of Hudson Bay since the 1980s. We have deployed an array of cameras to detect wolverines and other alpine wildlife in the remote alpine tundra of the Uapishka Mountains, Québec. Wolves, caribou, moose, black bear, otter, and pine marten have been captured by the camera
