Mixed up some container medium using sifted compost from last years kitchen waste. Filled many containers. Planted some columbine/aquilegia and swiss chard seeds and more strawberry plants. What a glorious spring day. Still I managed to get in listening to the Native Plant Podcast with Heather Holmes. She is quite knowledgeable as a plant person and brings a lot to the conversation.
I bought her latest book "Bees" An Identification and Native Plant Forage Guide when it first came out on the recommendation of Eric Eaton, The Bug Guy, and have been very happy. https://www.nativeplantpodcast.com/p...ts-they-forage Bees: An Identification and Native Plant Forage Guide - Bee and Pollinator Books by Heather Holm |
