Default Regional native plant garden U.S. Botanic Garden

The Regional native plant garden at the U.S. Botanic Garden is several years old now and getting an established look throughout the year that is garnering attention and praise.
This video is taken through the seasons and shows the beauty and diversity a garden of native plants correctly placed can achieve.

There is a nice interview with plant curator Bill McLaughlin at Garden Rant.

Plant curator Bill McLaughlin can’t stress enough that the soils are very different.

It’s really a ‘right plant, right place’ garden!”

Great video, Gloria! Thank you for sharing.

It is so nice to finally see native plant gardens showcasing each season--all too often, I've only seen videos of native plantings when they have barely a flower left--although I can appreciate the seedheads, I suspect most of the general public sees only an untidy mess. This is a great way to show what things can really look like.
