Default Have you seen these?

This is called a butterfly valve, found in the sea, it is part of the remains of something, but even when alive you don't see it like this. Have a think and I will post a live one later.

I don't think you will, but here is a picture of the whole thing, a chiton. It is just a part of this and it looks so different.

Remarkable resemblance to a butterfly. Nature re-using a sucessful design in a completely different material.
