excerpt from above:
An Aug. 9 deadline has been set for anyone interested in applying for the first class of 132 temporary statewide jobs in the newly created Ohio Woodlands Job Corps, Gov. Ted Strickland and Ohio Department of Natural Resources Director Sean Logan announced Thursday.

The new program, backed by economic stimulus money, will start crews working and training at seven state forests beginning Sept. 14, with headquarters in southern Ohio located in Pike State Forest for Highland and Pike counties, Scioto Trail State Park for Ross and Pike counties, Shawnee State Forest for Adams and Scioto counties, Hocking State Forest for Hocking County and Zaleski State Forest for Athens and Vinton counties. The other two headquarters in the state are located in Muskingum County and Lucas County.
According to ODNR, participants can make $13.44 per hour, receive possible college credit and earn up to $2,300 toward a college education or to pay off existing student loans through the program, as well as earn technical certifications in wildfire fighting, commercial pesticide application and designation as a master logger. Those selected crew leaders will be paid $14.36 per hour.
