Before moving here, I rarely saw bluebirds--only two or three times in my life.

Thanks for the link. I suspected ours might be year round residents...but I only see them in the yard while they are raising their young, usually once or twice in November or December, then they show up in February or March to stake claim of their favorite nest box.

We had two or three weeks of very frigid, so I was a little concerned that they wouldn't make it. I was even happier than usual th o see them again after that.
