I have been seeing a lot more species of butterfly this year and in greater numbers, I think.

This past week has brought me a couple tiger swallowtails...and--finally--a monarch. The one I was able to see close up was male. Twice since then, I have seen one in flight at a bit of a distance...no clue as to the gender.
