Cool. Asked an answered. I did that earlier today (found out what my mystery bug was myself), and still plan to post it here--but I had trouble accessing my photos earlier, so we will see.

Dilophus spinipes are new to me. I'm hardly an expert on insects, but I do recognize quite a few species that seem to be attracted to the goldenrods--and these, I've yet to see around mine. Thanks for posting.
