Last year, I put in three redbuds. They are probably just under four feet tall. I suspect it will be another two year or so before I see them flower.

My dogwood buds don't seem to be doing anything at all (except staying clamped shut), but my serviceberry flower buds are just starting to elongate.

There are so many other trees and shrubs I want to add (which will add to the variety of natives as well as the succession of blooms and berries), but I still want to add more dogwoods and serviceberries. Perhaps getting more variety will be the focus this year, then more of what we already have can be added the following year.
